The DakRe 2 Hydropower project is part of the hydropower development plan for the DakRe stream basin. The project aims to effectively exploit natural hydropower energy sources, provide additional clean electricity to the national power grid, and support socio-economic development in the mountainous areas of Quang Ngai province.

DakRe 2 Hydropower Plant

DakRe 2 Hydropower is planned for construction in Ba Xa Commune, Ba To District, Quang Ngai Province, located on the upper reaches of the Dak Re stream. This project will connect with and support the DakRe Hydropower project cluster. The implementation area features mountainous terrain with significant elevation differences, making it highly suitable for the sustainable development of small and medium-scale hydropower plants.

The DakRe 2 Hydropower project has an installed capacity of approximately 10 MW, serving as a supplementary power source that enhances the stability of the power system in the Central region.
