Ha Nang Hydropower Project

(Thien Tan Group) – The Ha Nang Hydropower Plant is a project invested and directly constructed by Thien Tan Group. Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 3 (PECC3), a subsidiary of Vietnam Electricity (EVN), served as the consulting and construction supervision unit. This project was originally outside the national power planning. However, after extensive research, topographical surveys, and hydrological comparisons, Thien Tan Group recognized its high investment efficiency. Consequently, the Group submitted a proposal to the Provincial Committee, requesting the Ministry of Industry and Trade to include it in the official planning.

The Ha Nang Hydropower Project is located in Village 5, Tra Thuy Commune, Tra Bong District, Quang Ngai Province. It stands as one of the most vital hydropower projects for the socio-economic development of the province's mountainous regions. Construction began in April 2008, and the plant officially commenced operations on September 17, 2010, with a total investment of 350 billion VND. Upon operation, the Ha Nang Hydropower Plant supplies approximately 70 million kWh annually, contributing a stable power source to the national grid, efficiently exploiting local water potential, and promoting clean, sustainable energy development.

Ha Nang Project Support

Thien Tan Group constructed 104 Grade-4A houses for local ethnic minority communities, providing them with clean water and proper sanitation. This initiative helped eliminate temporary bamboo and thatched dwellings in Tra Bong District, Quang Ngai Province. In addition to the new housing, each household received 100 million VND in compensation and financial support, helping local residents rise above the poverty line.

Thien Tan Group also built 20km of operational roads, enabling ethnic minority communities in Villages 4 and 5 of Tra Thuy Commune to easily access the Commune People's Committee. Previously, the lack of a transport system made traveling extremely difficult for local residents.
